Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa signed this Sunday the decree that dissolves the Assembly of the Republic and calls for legislative elections for January 30, 2022.
The information was published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic.
Under the terms of the Constitution, during the period in which Parliament is dissolved, the Standing Committee of the Assembly of the Republic functions, comprising the president, vice-presidents and deputies appointed by all parties, according to their respective parliamentary representation.
