There are 2 more deaths and 230 cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve

Interns rose again at the national level

The Algarve registers two more deaths, due to Covid-19, and 230 more confirmed cases of the disease, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Sunday, November 28, which has just been released.

Across the country, the DGS reports 2.897 new cases, a decrease compared to the last few days, when the number of new infections was always above three thousand.

With regard to deaths, the DGS counted another twelve. In addition to the two registered in the Algarve, there were five more deaths in Lisbon, one in the North and four in Madeira.

The number of new recoveries was 857, which means that the number of active cases has risen significantly (+2028) and is now 53.717 across the country.

The number of hospitalized patients also rose: there are 56 more in Portugal, bringing the total to 764. Even so, the number of patients hospitalized in Intensive Care Units did not increase and remained at 104.

The region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley was the one that, according to this Sunday's bulletin, contributed the most to the increase in cases nationwide, recording over 902 infections. It is followed by the North, with 828, the Center (697), the Algarve (230), Madeira (120), the Alentejo (96) and the Azores (24).

The number of contacts under surveillance increased (+1048) and are now 60.630.

The risk matrix did not change, continuing with Friday's numbers. The incidence rate at the national level is 279,8 cases of infection by Covid-19 per 100 inhabitants and 280,2, excluding the islands.

The R(t), the transmissibility index, is 1,19 nationally and 1,20 in mainland territory.
