Algarve has 70 more cases of Covid-19

Hospitalized decreased nationwide

The Algarve has over 70 cases of Covid-19, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Saturday, 6 November, which has just been released.

This number of new infections is lower than yesterday, Friday, when 88 more cases were recorded in the region.

Across the country, in today's report, 1197 more cases of Covid-19 were reported, which also represents a decrease compared to the last bulletin, when there were more than 1289 infections.

With regard to deaths, the DGS counted five more: three in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, one in Alentejo and one in the North.

The number of new retrieved was 1020, which means that the number of active cases has increased and are now 33.039 (+172).

The number of inpatients in hospitals decreased to 323 (-22) and also in intensive care units there was a decrease (-4) to 62.

The region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley was the one that, according to this Saturday's bulletin, contributed the most to the increase in cases nationwide, registering over 465 infections. It is followed by the North, with 300, the Center (278), the Algarve (70), the Alentejo (39), Madeira (25) and the Azores (20).

The number of contacts under surveillance increased (+795) and are now 24.076.

The risk matrix has not changed, continuing with yesterday's numbers. The incidence rate at the national level is 106,1 cases of infection by Covid-19 per 100 inhabitants and 105,6, excluding the islands.

The R(t), the transmissibility index, is 1,04 nationally and 1,03 in mainland territory.
