The Confraria dos Gastronomos do Algarve will organize its 17th Grand Chapter, this Saturday, October 2nd, in Portimão.
There will be about 200 Portuguese, Spanish, French, Greek and Italian confreres who will come together, in order to "exalt the cuisine and reward the best products, with the participation of chefs and restaurants from the Algarve region", says the municipality of Portimao.
Of the program, the municipality highlights «the reception and welcome session at TEMPO – Municipal Theater of Portimão», followed by «the procession to the Igreja Matriz, accompanied by the Sociedade Filarmónica Portimonense», where at 11:30 am the blessing of the badges by the parish priest Mário Sousa and the enthronement ceremony, in which 30 national and international confraternities are expected to attend.
