The conclusions of the first edition of the Algarve International Conferences on Architecture (JIAA), which took place throughout this month of October on the theme “Environment and Territory”, will be presented on Saturday, the 30th, at 15 pm, at the José Mariano Municipal Library Gago, in Olhão.
This initiative of the Algarve Regional Section of the Ordem dos Arquitectos (OASRAlg) incorporated the participation of several researches and guest researchers, who explained the 17 sustainable development goals for the 2030 Agenda commitment, applied to the Algarve territory.
The Journeys took place in seven online sessions, broadcast live and available on the Youtube and OASRAlg website.
On Saturday, the distinction of the first edition of the Career Award will also be given to a member of the Ordem dos Arquitectos, «highlighting the quality of the work in the Algarve, and its commitment to defending, dignifying and contributing to the profession and to the landscape». says OASRAlg.
Also marking the architecture afternoon at the José Mariano Gago Municipal Library, the traveling exhibition will be inaugurated for the first edition of the Algarve Regional Architecture Award, with the presentation of all the candidate works, which will be open until mid-November.
