A baby was born today at 4:35 am in an INEM ambulance, with the help of firefighters from Portimão and the Emergency and Reanimation Medical Vehicle (VMER) team.
The birth took place on Avenida Paul Harris, in the city of Portimão, when the ambulance was in transit to the University Hospital Center of the Algarve.
According to the Fire Department of Portimão, the birth of the girl was assisted by Sandra Duarte and Bruno Canilhas, both members of the corporation, and by the VMER team “INEM 1”.
