DiVaM: Amateurs in Situ, music in Fortaleza and open room animate monuments in September

8th edition of DiVaM has the theme “Heritage, Community and Inclusion”

DiVaM – Promotion and Enhancement of Monuments in the Algarve has cultural proposals for the month of September, a conference at the Roman Ruins of Milreu, a open room at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe and a concert at dusk at the Fortaleza de Sagres.

The cycle “Amatores in Situ – The Ancient World seen by those who love it” will return to the Roman Ruins of Milreu on September 10th, at 18 pm, for what will be its 30th edition.

This is a cycle of lectures promoted by Cívis – Association for the Deepening of Citizenship, coordinated by Ana Isabel Soares and João Pedro Bernardes, from the FCHS of the University of Algarve, and will have as the theme of the opening lecture: «The visiting Ancients to the literature of our days”, by Abel Neves (writer)

«The author will make a presentation of his work, debating its literary and creative relevance in the present, namely through poetic and dramaturgical incarnations», says the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve (DRCAlg).

On the following day, September 11, an open room will be held at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, at 18 pm, with the presentation of the work carried out with the community within the scope of the project “Em Campo | In the Far | No Perto”, da Cama – Cultural Association.

From the ateliers/residences, developed by four artists with the local community, «a collection of installations was built, from the collection of the materials worked during the workshops. In addition to the researches on display, two of the artists from this collection will also be present, so that they can talk a little about their individual process and the curatorial experience of “Em Campo | In the Far | No Perto”» explains the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

The “Concerts at Dusk” are back at Sagres Fortress and the first will be in charge of Luís Severo on September 12, at 18 pm, in a project by Arquente – Associação Cultural.

«The young singer and composer writes love songs, marked by luminous metaphors and everyday stories, and had his first album “Cara d'Anjo”» stresses DRCAlg.

The “Concertos ao Entardecer” also brings Evaya, on September 19th, and Junno, on the 26th.
