The “Concertos ao Entardecer”, organized by the cultural association ArQuente, is back to animate, throughout September, Faro and Sagres.
This will be the 10th edition of this initiative which, despite usually taking place in April and May, this year had to be postponed due to Covid-19.
The first concert is scheduled for this Saturday, the 5th, at 18:30 pm, in the Pátio da Galeria Arco, in the historic center of Faro, overlooking the Ria Formosa.
The first guest will be Monday, Catarina Falcão's solo project, which, for the first time, presents the songs of her latest work 'Room for All' in the Algarve, released a few months ago and widely praised by critics.
Monday performs the following day, Sunday, in the auditorium of the Fortaleza de Sagres, in a concert scheduled for 18:00.
Filipe Sambado will be the protagonist of the 12th of September. The musician, who has already attended the F Festival in 2018, returns to Faro for an intimate concert, in which the audience will have the opportunity to listen to themes such as 'A Jóia da Rotina' or 'Gerbera Amarela do Sul', which are part of 'Revezo', the most recent album by the Portuguese singer and composer nominated for the 2019 SPA Awards in the Music category – Best Popular Music Work.
ArQuente's third guest will be Marinho, who released his debut album '~' in October last year (read 'til'). The first single 'Ghost Notes' was a hit with a strong impact on radio and playlists on Spotify or Apple Music. Marinho will perform on the 19th at the Pátio da Galeria Arco, in Faro, and on the 20th at the Fortaleza de Sagres.
The cycle ends on the 26th with Caio, the new FNAC talent and BLITZ's TOP 50. Eager to share his second album 'Retratos' with the public, Caio will be at Galeria Arco's Pátio in Faroat 18 pm.
This year, due to the pandemic, the number of seats available, both in Faro as in Sagres, it is reduced, and reservation is mandatory through the emails: [email protected] (concerts in Faro) and [email protected] (concerts in Sagres).
ArQuente's Concerts at Afternoon have the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, through the DiVaM – Dissemination and Valorization of Monuments program.
In addition, they have several private partners: the Lemon Tree and Madalena hostels, the Tertúlia Algarvia restaurant and the Falcão Marques Seguros insurance company.
