Aleixo gets re-election in Loulé, Chega elects councilor

The PS collected a total of 55,41% of the votes, which is equivalent to six councilors

Vítor Aleixo was re-elected for a third and final term as mayor of Loulé, in elections that are also marked by the fact that Chega has managed to elect a councilor. 

The PS collected a total of 55,41% of votes, which is equivalent to six councilors (one less than in 2017).

In second place was the PSD with 22,23%, electing two councilors – the ones it already had.

The big news is Chega, which, due to a vote of 8,72%, wins a councilor in the Loulé Chamber. This is Fernando Santos (Fanã), the head of the list of this party.

In 4th place was CDU (3,55%) and in 5th, the Left Block (3,28%). In the last position appears the PAN (2,48%).

In the nine parishes of Loulé, PS won the 7 that it already had before (Ameixial, Alte, Boliqueime, São Sebastião, São Clemente, Quarteira and Almancil).

The PSD conquered the two parishes that it already led (Salir and Querença, Tôr and Benafim).

In the Municipal Assembly, the PS won with 51,48% (16 deputies).

The PSD won 7 deputies, Chega 2 and Bloco and CDU also 1.

In Loulé, 40,70% of eligible people voted.
