RIAS receives support from the Environmental Fund to use in the Center's rehabilitation works

Support will also be applied to the payment of team salaries.

The RIAS – Center for the Recovery and Investigation of Wild Animals received support from the Environmental Fund to invest in human resources and requalification works.

With this funding, that Center will be able to "guarantee some of the team's salaries for a year and carry out requalification works in the amount of 43 thousand euros", says the RIAS in a press release.

Despite making improvements to their facilities every year, "there are infrastructures that need major interventions, and which, in turn, are more expensive."

The works will include "structural changes to various facilities, with a view to improving the safety and welfare of animals, as well as RIAS employees", explains the note.

The Environmental Fund is an instrument that finances entities, activities or projects that aim to contribute to the conservation of Nature in all its aspects (climate change, water resources, waste and biodiversity conservation).

This year, applications were opened for wild fauna recovery centers in two areas, human resources and requalification works, with the RIAS getting support from both competitions.
