Municipal Museum of Olhão promotes conversation about “A Chimney and the Algarve”

The initiative will have the presence of Lydia Santos

This Saturday, August 7th, at 21 pm, the Municipal Museum of Olhão will organize another session of the “Museum Conversations”, under the theme “The Chimney and the Algarve”, which will take place at Largo da Restauração, in the city of Olhão.

The initiative has the presence of Lydia Santos, Master in History and Heritage from the University of Algarve, who will address her homonymous dissertation.

«Understanding the origins of the traditional chimney in general – and also in the Algarve -, its fundamental characteristics, the different forms it can present and its presence in Olhão» are the objectives of the session, which is being held in partnership with the Regional Section of the Algarve of the Order of Architects.

This session is part of the commemorative program of the 20th anniversary of the Municipal Museum of Olhão.

Admission is free, but subject to availability of seats, in accordance with the rules of the General Directorate of Health.
