Algarve has 10 municipalities in the ranking of municipalities where it is more expensive to buy a house

Loulé is the municipality in the region where the price per square meter is more expensive

The Algarve dominates the list of the most expensive municipalities in the country to buy a house, with Loulé being the municipality in the region where the price per square meter is more expensive.

According to a study by the Idealista portal, in the 25 most expensive municipalities in Portugal to buy a house, the Algarve predominates in the ranking with 10 municipalities.

Loulé has the highest prices in the region, the value per square meter being 3.026 euros. It is followed by Lagos (2.699 euro/m²), Lagoa (2.672 euro/m²) and Albufeira (2.438 euro/m²).

Then comes Tavira (2.199 euro/m²), Portimão (2.108 euro/m²), Silves (2.039 euro/m²) and Vila Real de Santo António (2.029 euro/m²).

The Algarve capital, Faro, appears in the ranking in 20th place, with the price to buy a house of 2.029 euros per square meter.

At the end of the list comes Olhão (2.004 euro/m²).

Nationally, Lisbon is the most expensive municipality to buy a house in Portugal with the highest square meter in the country (4.898 euro/m²).
