A self-employment project that gave rise to the brand Vets To You, which will be dedicated to veterinary services, home veterinarian, with an innovative component of specialization in exotic animals, is the most recent tenant of the Multifunctional Business Building (EME) in Castro Marim.
According to the City Council, «they are still in the process of analysis and are about to set up other companies with projects in the areas of production and marketing of food products for animals, training and the arts».
The EME was created with the aim of supporting local and/or regional entrepreneurs, promoting the development of economic activities based on innovation and/or strategic sectors.
To this end, it provides a physical space for the development of the respective economic activities and facilitates access to a set of services and partner entities, encouraging the implementation of projects in the market and the creation of jobs.
Since April, the building has also been part of the National Network of Spaces for Telework or Coworking in the Interior, created by the governing areas of Territorial Cohesion and Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, and which will aim to provide furniture and equipment for the practice of telework or coworking in one of their rooms.
The conditions of access to the Multifunctional Business Building (EME) are established in the Regulation on the Operation and Use of the EME, available at http://cm-castromarim.pt/site/conteudo/apoio-empresas.
Applications are evaluated by an Evaluation and Monitoring Committee (CAA) made up of technicians from the City Council and technicians from CRIA (University of the Algarve), NERA and Associação ODIANA, a commission whose mission also extends to the creation and strategies of dynamization and promotion of the equipment, supported by the knowledge and experience of the entities represented, whose activity revolves around entrepreneurship, training, innovation and economic development.
