The Minister of Territorial Cohesion will visit the Algarve Sun Boat Trips, which uses electro-solar boats, manufactured in the Algarve region, at Marina de Portimão, tomorrow, 20 July, at 18 pm.
Before that, at 15 pm, minister Ana Abrunhosa will attend and close the 5th meeting of the Algarve Regional Innovation Council (CIRA), which will take place in the auditorium of the Municipal Theater of Portimão. It will be accompanied by the Assistant Secretary of State and Regional Development, Carlos Miguel.
At the meeting, the status of the CRESC Algarve 2020 Operational Program will be discussed, among other matters.
The company launched rrecently a 12-meter catamaran powered only by solar energy, with a capacity for 30 people, designed to take trips along the Arade river and the Algarve coast, made with «99% Portuguese technology». The vessel, built in Olhão by the company Sun Concept, was premiered by the Secretary of State for Tourism, as the Sul Informação then noticed.
