Albufeira receives Municipal Roadshow at the Municipal Auditorium

Initiative includes workshops and lectures to raise awareness and promote innovation and business internationalization

The “Algarve RESTART Innovation | Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation RoadShow” will have a session this Friday, 2nd July, at the Albufeira Municipal Auditorium. This initiative aims to contribute to the Algarve's economic recovery process.

This is the 14th event of a partnership between the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), the Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the University of Algarve (CRIA) and the Business Association of the Algarve Region (NERA) which aims to contribute to the process of economic recovery in the Algarve region.

The initiative includes an open day (morning and afternoon) with workshops and lectures to raise awareness and promote innovation and business internationalization.

Topics will be discussed such as the main steps for creating a business, the financing systems available to companies, as well as testimonials from businessmen in the region.

The event will start at 10:00 am with the intervention of José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, followed by ANJE representative Juan Pablo Correia, Hugo Barros, from UAlg, and Marco Correia, from NERA.

The “Study on the economic and social impact of the Covid-16 pandemic in the municipality of Albufeira”, by professors Luís Serra Coelho and Rúben Peixinho, from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve (UAlg), will be presented at 00 pm.

The event will be broadcast streaming, through the virtual pages of the organization and the Facebook from the municipality of Albufeira.

This initiative is going through the various municipalities of the Algarve, throughout the months of May and June, and various activities are being carried out to promote entrepreneurship and support the activity of start-ups and Algarve companies, in partnership with local authorities, in this case with Vila Real de Santo António and also with the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP), the Support Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation (IAPMEI) and the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve.

This action is part of the Restart Algarve and Inova Algarve 2.0 projects, co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020 | Portugal 2020.
