A 37-year-old man, a "habitual drug user", who assaulted his mother and her partner, was arrested yesterday in Lagos by the GNR, for domestic violence.
According to this police force, an investigation by the Nucleus for Investigation and Support for Specific Victims of Portimão (NIAVE) found that the 37-year-old suspect “physically assaulted his mother and her partner, aged 61 and 52, respectively, when they denied him money to support his addiction».
The facts found gave rise to an arrest warrant, which was executed yesterday.
The detainee was constituted as an accused and, after being present at the Judicial Court of Portimão, he was subject to measures of coercion to leave the residence and prohibition of contact with the victims, controlled by an electronic bracelet.
