Loulé and Quarteira clothing markets are back…but so are paid parking meters

Car parking turnover facilitates customer access to local businesses, defends the municipality

The Loulé and Quarteira Clothing Markets are back as of this week, while payment for parking on public roads in charging zones throughout the municipality, in Loulé, Quarteira, Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, resumes on Monday Tuesday, April 12th.

According to Loulé City Council, which announced these measures "following the decontamination plan in force throughout the country", the markets "play an important role in the dynamics of the places where they take place".

On the other hand, paid parking meters guarantee “the rotation of car parking, making more spaces available, in order to facilitate the access of customers to local businesses and thus support these entrepreneurs who have lived through difficult times during this last confinement”.

However, "despite the reopening of spaces and the very gradual return to normality possible, in accordance with the directives of the competent authorities", the Loulé municipality calls on all residents and visitors to "maintain care and respect the rules of protection against COVID-19 so that this process of reopening the economy and society can continue».
