The Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg) awarded 20 scholarships to students from the Algarve academy, in collaboration with companies and entities in the region, announced this Tuesday, 23 February, Raquel Jacob, president of AAUAlg.
All students covered by this measure «saw their application for the DGES scholarship rejected and have the lowest capitation of the respective organic unit».
According to AAUAlg, «this project is based on three main objectives: to prevent school dropouts and improve the conditions of study of young people at UAlg, through the direct payment of their tuition fees, simultaneously with the active collaboration and involvement of different regional entities, never forgetting the necessary and constant alert to the precariousness of the financing of the Social Action of the IES, this year even more urgent».
