Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, will take part this Monday, 7th of September, from 19 pm, in the ceremony to welcome new students of the Integrated Masters in Medicine at the University of Algarve (UAlg).
This is a «ceremony that aims to mark the beginning of the clinical cycle of medical students, promoting awareness of the values and principles underlying the relationship of a doctor with society and patients and in the provision of healthcare».
In addition to the minister, the event includes interventions by dean Paulo Águas and professors and students from UAlg. There will also be the delivery of kits consisting of the gown and the stethoscope.
The ceremony is organized by the Medical Students Nucleus of the Academic Association of UAlg.
