Covid-19: DGS reports 10 new cases in Algarve

The Algarve has today 10 new cases of Covid-19, revealed the General Directorate of Health (DGS) in its epidemiological bulletin this Monday, 14 September.

In numbers accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic, 1244 people have been infected with the new coronavirus in the Algarve region.

Today, the Regional Health Authority also released its data that account for 13 new cases. The total numbers of the Regional Health Authority (1247) also do not match those of the DGS (1244).

In Alentejo, the DGS today points out 27 more cases. The cumulative total is now 1161.

Nationally, the numbers remain bleak: there are over 613 cases of Covid-19, according to the DGS.

 

 

Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, with over 338 cases (for a total accumulated numbers of 33.070) and the North, with new 178 cases (total of 23.411) were the regions of the country that most contributed to this growth.

The DGS reports yet another 4 deaths, 3 in the North and one in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region.

On the other hand, there are currently only 116 recovered, bringing to 44.185 the number of people who have already defeated Covid-19 in our country.

As for active cases, on a day when new infections largely surpassed the number of recoveries, there are 493 more, with the total rising to 18.540.

The number of people admitted to hospitals across the country rose to 477, 25 more than in yesterday's DGS bulletin. Of these, 61 are in the intensive care unit (plus 4).

There are currently 36.758 people in surveillance contact, 360 more than yesterday.
