A stage, boats around and lots of music: this is the Algarve Boat Festival

Basically, there will be "several separate parties but united around a single show"

On stage boat will be DJ Pete Tha Zouk. Around, on other boats, the festival boats will enjoy the music, complying with all the measures of the General Directorate of Health (DGS). That's how the Algarve Boat Festival will be, an initiative that takes place on August 29, in Lagos, from 15 pm.

Basically, there will be “several separate parties but united around a single show! Over the sea, of course», says the organization. The match will be at Praia Dona Ana.

"This innovative concept of a stage with several dance floors allows the participant to enjoy a unique and safe event, in accordance with the guidelines of the DGS", he adds.

In Lagos, the tradition of the “Banho 29” or “Feast of the Bath” has long been rooted in the Lacobrigense culture, being one of the main events in the municipality of Lagos.

Every year, on the 29th of August, various sporting and cultural activities take place, the main event being a midnight bath and a fireworks show.

In the sensitive context of the pandemic that we are experiencing, SeaBookings, with the support of the municipality of Lagos, presented this new concept.

In this first edition of the Algarve Boat Festival, the headliner is the Algarvian Pete Tha Zouk. DJ Astrella will team up with lacobrigense Carlos Glória Sax for make the boats dance to the rhythm of summer.

Festival-goers can join their boat, whether owned or rented, whether a motorboat or sailing. Limited places will also be made available on their own boats, for those interested who want to participate in the event, but do not have their own boat or are not able to rent it.

The Algarve Boat Festival has the support of the Municipality of Lagos and the Marina de Lagos. The Marina offers overnight stays after the festival for boats coming from other marinas. And the Captaincy of the Port of Lagos, as well as the Maritime Police, will be present to enforce the Contingency Plan and guarantee the security of the event.

For those who cannot physically be present, the Festival will be open to everyone, via live streaming, on the Municipality's Facebook page.
