Marcelo promised and goes to Boliqueime to visit the elderly at the Santa Casa home

The President of the Republic had already said that he planned to visit Boliqueime's home as soon as he could

The President of the Republic will be in Loulé on Sunday, the 26th, to, as promised, visit the nursing home of Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Loulé, where the most lethal outbreak of Covid-19 in the region was recorded.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will personally greet the users and employees of the institution, to those who had already sent a message of "friendship and gratitude" during a video call he had with Sílvia Sebastião, the provider of SCM in Boliqueime.

At the time, the head of state was invited to visit the home – after saying that he planned to go there and that he expected an invitation – and will now be present at the institution, where he will be registered five deaths due to Covid-19, all of users, and there were four dozen infected, most of them elderly, but also some employees.

The visit's program also includes a session at the Igreja Matriz in Boliqueime and a dinner in Querença.

All initiatives are reserved for the delegation of the President of the Republic.
