UAlg in mourning for students who died in an accident near the airport

Information on the place and date of the funeral ceremonies is not yet known.

Os young people who died in the accident at the end of the night of this Tuesday, June 2nd, near the Airport of Faro, were students at the University of the Algarve (UAlg) and three days of academic mourning have already been decreed. 

Rui Camilo Queiroz and Pedro Pestana Girão Leal Paço were undergraduate students in Management at the School of Management, Hotel and Tourism.

In a note published on the website of the University of Algarve, the rector Paulo Águas expressed, on behalf of the entire academic community, "the deepest regret" for the death of young people, aged 19 and 20 years. The head of UAlg also decreed the three days of academic mourning.

The car where the students were following took place at around 23:45, on the road that gives access to the Airport of Faro. Deaths were soon declared on the spot.
