The Stop 5G Algarve Movement calls on citizens to participate in the public consultation process for the allocation of rights to use frequencies for 5G, which is running until 3 July.

According to this movement, the implementation of 5G is being "planned in Portugal without a study proving that this technology will not cause damage to human health, damage to other species, animals and plants in the environment".

"The implementation of 5G in Portugal will take place without a previous Environmental Impact Assessment being carried out", they accuse.

In a statement, this movement tells how, in cities in Italy, the United Kingdom or France, the participation of citizens helped to "stop the implementation of 5G", therefore calling for the participation of all.

“Get informed and participate in the public consultation. Don't let a process as elusive as the implementation of this technology be left to the authorities alone. Your participation is important and will be taken into account», they conclude.

To participate, just add fill in this draft, available here, sending it to ANACOM.

This can be done by email ([email protected]) or via CTT to the address Avenida José Malhoa 12, 1099-017, Lisbon.
