Covid-19 screening tests carried out in homes in Loulé, Alcoutim and Porches (Lagoa) were all negative.

Starting in Loulé, this time it was the home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia, located near the court of this city, to be traced.

Vítor Aleixo, president of the Chamber, revealed, in a publication in Faebook, that 231 tests were carried out (119 for the elderly and 112 for employees). All were negative.

The mayor thanks the Santa Casa provider, the director of the home and all employees. "They are to be congratulated. The excellent result is due to the care they have taken», he wrote.

According to the mayor, the tests will take place tomorrow, the 27th, at the Querença home “and the last ones on the 29th: in the Parish Center of Quarteira and homes in Benafim and Salir”.

In Porches, tests carried out last Wednesday, April 22, at the Social Support Center were also negative. The local newspaper Lagoa Informa explains that analyzes were carried out on “22 users and 26 employees”.

«We were all very happy, but with an added reinforcement in the management of the responsibility to maintain and reinforce the good practices that, until now, have led to success», he concludes.

These tests were carried out within the scope of the Covid+70 project, promoted by the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC), a consortium that brings together the University of Algarve and the Hospital and University Center of the Algarve (CHUA).
