The screening tests for Covid-19, carried out this Saturday, April 11, at the home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Monchique, were all negative, announced Rui André, president of the Chamber.
In a post on Facebook, the mayor did not hide his satisfaction with this outcome.
Rui André also thanked the «team of the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC), in the person of Dr. Nuno Marques, for the professional and efficient work that raises the name of Portugal beyond borders».
Today the results made in Marmelete will be known, with the mayor hoping that "they will be equally negative".
These tests are being carried out under the Covid+70 initiative which is being carried out by ABC in every household in the Algarve.
Monchique has a confirmed case of Covid-19 from a Alferce Day Center employee. Colleagues, family members and other direct contacts of the employee have already been tested and had a negative result.
