Alferce Day Center employee colleagues who have Covid-19 are not infected

Algarve Biomedical Center has already tested 17 nursing homes in ten Algarve councils

The colleagues of the employee of the Casa do Povo of Alferce, who was diagnosed with Covid-19, are not infected with the new coronavirus. Also family members and other direct contacts of the employee were tested and had a negative result in the tests performed.

Rui André, mayor of Monchique, revealed on Facebook that «the tests for the screening of Covid-19, carried out on Thursday to fellow employees of the positive case of Casa do Povo do Alferce, as well as some more direct and family contacts , all gave a negative result.

This Saturday, according to the mayor, tests were carried out on all users of old people's homes in Monchique, as well as all employees, employees, leaders and volunteers of these institutions, within the scope of the Covid+70 initiative, which is being taken to cable by the Algarve Biomedical Center throughout the Algarve.

On Friday, the home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of São Brás de Alportel was also tested.

In Loulé, the county where they emerged the first infected in a nursing home, in the Algarve, in Boliqueime, tests have also been carried out at Lar da Tor, Lar de São José de Loulé and the António Aleixo Foundation. According to the mayor Vítor Aleixo, all tests in these homes, to employees and users, were negative.

Until yesterday, ABC had already tested 17 homes throughout the Algarve, in 10 municipalities, in a total of 1200 tests.
