A man was arrested by the PSP yesterday, May 2, for drug trafficking, and another was identified and charged with robbery with a knife.
The arrest took place in the city of Faro, «following the recurrent patrolling actions carried out downtown, using various police means and skills, with the aim of guaranteeing a feeling of security for all citizens who travel there», says the PSP in a note.
During the patrol, the Prevention and Immediate Reaction Team detected a man who, in the presence of the police, tried to flee and was stopped. It was possible to determine that the suspect had, in his possession, around 50 individual doses of drugs ready for sale to the consumer, for which he was detained.
In the city of Portimão, early in the afternoon the day before yesterday, the PSP received news of a robbery carried out in a commercial establishment, using a bladed weapon.
Following this information, the Portimão PSP immediately began investigations with the aim of identifying the suspect and collecting evidence, having located the suspect yesterday.
It was possible to seize the bladed weapon, as well as other assets that made it possible to indict the suspect for committing the robbery, and he was named a defendant, interrogated and subject to an Identity and Residence Term.
