Algarve company created two new services

Aviludo has launched two new direct sales services to end consumers, which allow anyone to order products on an online platform and receive them at home or pick them up at a branch of the company.

The company, founded in 1984 in the Algarve, more precisely in Ludo, in Almancil (Loulé), but which today has a national dimension, is certified and specialized in the industry, trade and distribution of food products and usually works with business customers .

However, given the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company decided to launch food product delivery services aimed at the final consumer, «with the objective of promoting the adoption of the behaviors recommended by the DGS, thus promoting social distancing and the permanence of citizens in their homes as a measure to prevent the spread of the disease”.

One of the novelties is the Drive-in service, in which the customer orders the products, later on, he goes to an Aviludo branch, where the products will be placed inside his vehicle. The order has no minimum value in this modality.

In the Algarve, there are company branches in Faro and Quarteira. The company also has facilities in Beja, Alcochete, Abrantes, Aveiro, Lisbon and Sever do Vouga.

On the other hand, a home delivery service was created, in this case, with a minimum order value, although without associated delivery costs.

Currently, the minimum order value is 55 euros, after having initially been 100 euros.

«When we created the online access channel, which allows the end consumer to place their order quickly, conveniently, flexibly and securely, we have launched the home delivery service, free of charge, for orders with a value equal to or greater than 100 euros. However, given the complexity that the country and the people are experiencing, to which we are totally sensitive and supportive, in order to reach all families, we decided to lower this value to 55 euros», according to Artur Campelo, commercial director of Despicable.

"This was the way we considered the most adequate to find a balance between the logistical offer that the company can offer and the need for people to access food products", says the same person responsible, adding that "the company continues to expand daily its range of products for the final consumer»

Those interested in using the services must register on the company's online sales platform, to be able to enjoy the services. The platform being used was originally aimed at business customers, so Aviludo «is currently developing another online shopping platform to further streamline the ordering process», as far as the end customer is concerned.

About the logistics of home deliveries Artur Campelo assures that «this is a differentiating factor and added value that the company has to offer its customers, as it has its own fleet, which is certified for quality and is fully equipped and prepared for more. this challenge».

The commercial director of Aviludo also guaranteed that "all vehicles for transporting food products are sanitized daily in order to ensure all hygiene and food safety and the protection of public health."
