Aljezur takes food and medicine home and provides psychological support

Line works from 9:00 am to 15:30 pm

The City Council of Aljezur launched a psychosocial helpline (282 990 015) to support people over 65 and chronically ill during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the municipality, this line has "two services": taking food and medication to the home, but also providing psychology and social action technicians to talk to the weakest people who need comfort and "a word of serenity" .

The line, which was launched on March 23 and operates from 9:00 am to 15:30 pm, from Monday to Friday, has also been sought out to obtain various information on how the services of the City Council and parishes are working.

«Since the day it went into operation and until today, 16 requests for food purchases, five requests for medication, three requests for animal feed, four requests for support sent to psychological support and 16 other requests for information have been registered. diverse», advances the autakia.

The line counts on “a back-up support” under the responsibility of the Municipality of Aljezur, in collaboration with other partner entities, namely Parish Councils, IPSS and local associations.
