Covid-19: São Brás registers first case, Algarve finally has 113

Data are from the daily bulletin of the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve

São Brás de Alportel has the first confirmed case of a person infected with the new coronavirus, while Portimão, Albufeira, Loulé and Olhão have registered new ones. The data are from the Regional Health Administration (ARS) which updated the number of infected in the Algarve to 113, 5 more than the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) had advanced.

Today's ARS bulletin already counts the third death, registered in the Algarve: that of a British man, resident in Benagil, in the municipality of Lagoa.

The ARS highlights that there are “5 new confirmed cases, 1 death and 1 recovered in the Algarve region, not disclosed in the DGS situation report published today”.

 

 

As for the new cases of today, they are divided into Portimão (plus 1), Albufeira (plus 1), Loulé (plus 3), Olhão (plus 1) and the first in São Brás de Alportel.

The totals now look like this: Faro (30), Albufeira (25), Portimão (20), Loulé (18), Vila Real de Santo António (7), Lagoa (4), Silves (3), Tavira (3), Olhão (2) and São Brás of Alportel (1).

According to data from the bulletin, there are 15 people hospitalized, 6 in intensive care.

 

 

There are 684 contacts under active surveillance: 177 in the Group of Health Centers (ACeS) in Barlavento, 433 in ACeS Central and 74 in Sotavento.

There have already been 810 unconfirmed cases, that is, that were not confirmed. In addition to the recovered case, 20 people have already been discharged from the hospital and are at home.
