The «mythical proof of the golden shoes» is back. The Cross Internacional das Amendoeiras em Flor takes place on the 2nd of February, at Pista das Açoteias, in Albufeira.
The competition brings together the best national and international athletes in the sport. This year, Cross integrates the European League Clubs, which involves a large part of the teams that compete annually in the European Champion Clubs' Cup, among them the current collective national champion: Sporting.
This competition, one of the oldest in Europe, is the only one in our country that integrates the World Circuit of World Athletics (former IAAF) by Cross, standing out in the individual and collective levels of juniors and seniors, of both genders.
On the morning of February 2nd, from 10:00 am, the Regional Cutting Championship will take place for all age groups, and the 18th Cutting Forest of Areias de São João, in the Benjamim, Infantil and Initiated levels. At 14:30 pm, the International Cross for Adapted Sports takes place.
The Cross Internacional das Amendoeiras em Flor is an organization of the Athletics Association of the Algarve and the Municipality of Albufeira, with the support of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth and Tourism of the Algarve.
