Those interested in exhibiting their work in the next edition of Fartoon – Mostra de Cartoons de Faro, which will take place at the end of the year in the capital of the Algarve, can apply until the 4th of October.
A Faro 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro will advance to the 3rd edition of this event, «after the previous exhibitions of cartoons by Faro have been very well received by the public and artists».
This year, the theme of the event is “Europe and the migratory phenomenon”. With the institution of this theme, the Faro 1540 “intends participants to explore not only the classical view of migration, but particularly the way in which this phenomenon is originated through wars, religious and racial prejudices, environmental unsustainability, climate change, values or beliefs”.
Can enroll in the initiative, free of charge, «all national or foreign citizens, individually or in groups».
Interested parties must send the registration form duly completed to the organization, to the email [email protected] or via CTT, to Faro 1540, Fartoon – 3rd Show of Cartoons by Faro, Rua Reitor Teixeira Guedes, nº 133, 8000-424 Faro, Portugal.
The works that are selected by the jury, composed of five elements, will be featured in an ongoing exhibition, in Faro, at the end of 2019, and it is expected that it will later be exhibited in a few more municipalities in the algarve.
