The conference “O País a Régua and Esquadro: Urbanism, Architecture and Memory in Duarte Pacheco's Public Works” will take place this Saturday, June 8, from 15 pm, at the Loulé Municipal Archive.
Duarte Pacheco's public work begins in 1925 and runs until 1943, when he died.
Considering Duarte Pacheco's way of acting and identifying his work method in areas as different as the direction of the Instituto Superior Técnico, the management of the Lisbon City Council, the Ministry of Public Instruction and the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, Duarte Pacheco's work emerges «in a new perspective, possible through the collection of an unprecedented piece of information that clarifies, in time and manner, the services and agents that, in a space of eighteen years, changed the country's landscape», he says the Chamber of Loulé.
