Albufeira: Piped water and sewage reach Montes Together

Albufeira Town Council is investing 4 million euros in the expansion and modernization of water and sewage networks

The water supply and basic sanitation networks will be extended to the area of ​​Montes Juntos, in the parish of Guia, Albufeira. The contract for the work, which will cost around 90 thousand euros, has already been signed.

According to the Municipality of Albufeira, "this intervention continues the commitment that the Municipality is making in infrastructure works throughout the municipality, responding to the basic needs of the inhabitants of Albufeira".

The period of execution of the work is 60 days, and according to the municipality, “it is foreseeable that all the inhabitants of Montes Juntos will be served by these essential infrastructures for the quality of life very soon”.

This intervention in Montes Juntos involves the expansion of the water supply network by 750 meters and the basic sanitation network by 150 meters.

At the moment, «a large investment of about 4 million euros is being applied in the municipality, in the expansion and modernization of the municipal water supply and basic sanitation networks in the four parishes of the municipality, in approximately 40 kilometers of underground networks. Some of the works are in progress and for others public tenders have been opened» concludes the City Council of Albufeira.
