A «unique concert», which will bring together Tim (Xutos & Pontapés) and António Manuel Ribeiro (UHF) on stage, takes place on March 28, at 21 pm, at the Francisco Vargas Mogo Auditorium (Crédito Agrícola), in São Bartolomeu of Messines.

This concert will close the celebrations for the birthday of João de Deus.

The «intimate» show will have free entry, but those interested in watching the initiative must have a voucher access, which will be given only and exclusively to those who visit the João de Deus House-Museum, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, between the 20th and 28th of March.

The poet and pedagogue from Messina, João de Deus, has deserved special attention since the 7th of March and throughout the month in an extensive program that aims to mark the 189th anniversary of this unique figure in national letters.

This vast program of initiatives promoted by the autarchy aimed to promote synergies, aiming at the creation of a diversified, differentiating and innovative cultural program aimed at all audiences, allowing to highlight this eminent figure in the history of national arts and letters, recalling the one who it would have been the first Portuguese literary festival – “The Festival of João de Deus”, promoted on March 8, 1895 and which united “the people and the king”, the “intellectuals and the apprentices” around what was seen as “the poet of the people”, “the illustrious master of the art of reading”.
