Joana Vasconcelos goes to Salir to convince students to follow High School Arts

The artist Joana Vasconcelos will participate, on the 25th of March, at 15 pm, in a session at the Professor Sebastião José Pires Teixeira Basic School, in Salir, where she will convince students to follow the Arts course in secondary education.

The session is part of the Ser Artista em Portugal project, which aims to promote a cycle of conversations about art in schools with students from the third cycle, before the moment of choosing the preferred areas in secondary school.

It is organized by the National Culture Center with the collaboration of the School Libraries Network and the support of the Egoísta magazine.

Joana Vasconcelos will talk about her work and her path to about 150 students and will thus close this first cycle of the project in which other artists such as Nuno Saraiva (in Beja), Joana Villaverde (in Portalegre), Jacinto Lucas Pires (in Alfândega) have already participated da Fé) and Patrícia Portela (in Oliveira do Hospital), having already covered almost a thousand students.
