The bikes will speed up again near the Pereiro Dam, in the municipality of Alcoutim, next Saturday, February 23, from 10 am, at the 30 Hours TT Resistance Meeting.
The prologue is scheduled for 10:30 am and the race starts at 12:00 pm, with a Le Mans-style match.
According to the Youth Association of the Northeast Algarve Inter-Vivos, which organizes the event, «the meeting takes place on a circuit of approximately 6 km, and in previous editions it had the presence of the greatest national figures in the sport, Hélder Rodrigues, Rúben Faria, Paulo Gonçalves, António Maio, Luís Teixeira and so many others, who provided moments of great competitive beauty to the very public present».
The organization hopes that "this year the race will be enhanced by professional and amateur riders, all together, in the great off-road party".
This is a circuit «with an almost total view from the “natural amphitheater” (dam) that surrounds the track and which is even one of its strongest images, chosen for a long and lively day of racing, the result of an intense and careful work carried out by all members of the organization,” adds Inter-Vivos.
The format of the races “will be the most traditional, with the Le Mans style starting. The riders will once again have to fight for the top positions on conventional starting grids with timed practice defining their order».
The race is made up of teams of one or two riders and one or two motorcycles, with only two classes: Class 1 (one rider on one motorcycle) and Class 2 (two riders and one or two motorcycles).
The event counts on the collaboration of the Alcoutim City Council and the Union of Parishes of Alcoutim Pereiro, the Parish Council of Martim Longo and the Alcoutim Volunteer Firefighters who, «together, are committed to promoting the event and the potential of the assured region. with the media coverage of the event and its dissemination by the company A2 Comunicação, a specialist in the field of motor sports».
