Mito Algarvio celebrated 7th anniversary with homage to the accordion

Mito Algarvio «has been working to assert Castro Marim as the capital of accordion in the Algarve»

Mito Algarvio – Association of Accordion Players of the Algarve – celebrated this Monday, February 4th, its 7th anniversary with a Grand Accordion Festival. 

Headquartered in the former Barrocal primary school, in Altura, in facilities provided by the Castro Marim City Council, Mito Algarvio has been working towards asserting Castro Marim as the accordion capital council in the Algarve.

During the anniversary celebrations, which are also a tribute to the accordion and accordion players from the Algarve, more than 600 people gathered who have accompanied and contributed to the development of the work of this association.

The 7th anniversary of Mito Algarvio was marked by the performances of prestigious and awarded accordionists, such as current world champion Peter Maric (Serbia), Tino Costa, Maria Adélia Botelho, Nélson Conceição, Tiago Conceição, Sérgio Conceição, Maria Palma, Rodrigo Maurício and the young accordionist Hugo Madeira.
