The Rallye Casinos do Algarve, which will hit the road on the 16th and 17th of November, was once again chosen by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) as the stage for the Final of the European Rally Trophy, a competition that brings together the best classifieds of the European regional trophies of rallies.
The race also hosts the last round of the Portuguese Rally Championship, of the Peugeot Rally Cup Iberica, and will also receive the caravan of the South Rally Championship, competitions that will meet their winners here.
«Compared to previous editions, and to create a different challenge for the drivers who visit us, the rally has a new costume in the layout of the qualifying races in the Serra de Monchique», announced the organization.
Thus, the sections of Alferce and Fóia will be covered twice, on 16 November, leaving for the following day the two passages through Nave Redonda, Monchique and Chilrão.
The nightly super special will take place on the streets of Lagos on the 16th at night.
Another novelty for this year is the relocation of the closed and assistance parks to the Pavilhão do Arade, with the municipality of Lagoa also receiving the shakedown, to be held in the Porches area, and the ceremonial departure, which will take place at the Municipal Auditorium.
The Rally Operational Center and the final podium will be at the Hotel Algarve Casino in Praia da Rocha.
Rallye Casinos do Algarve is organized by the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, under the aegis of the FIA and the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting, with the important support of Solverde – Casinos do Algarve and the municipalities of Portimão, Lagoa, Monchique and Lagos .
