The band Riding a Meteor started a crowdfunding campaign, to raise 4500 euros, with the aim of going to Greece to record a concert in Meteora, one of the largest and most important monastery complexes in Eastern Christianity.
For the band members, «this trip would be an expansion of their horizons, a way to reach new audiences, to gain dimension and to have an unforgettable experience on a personal level. Inspired by Pink Floyd, Riding a Meteor would like to record a concert in the isolated Meteora, recreating the atmosphere that was experienced in Pompeii», says Epopeia Records.
The money will help with travel costs, which are associated with both the rental and transport of material and the stay of the band and the production elements that would also have to embark on this journey to Greece.
Depending on the amount of the contribution, funders can win the band's merchandise, copies of the band's EP on vinyl, stays in the Algarve or even a trip to Meteora following the production of this unique experience.
