Book Party livens up Aljezur at the weekend

In addition to books, the party is also made with music, stories and theater

The Book Festival will liven up Aljezur from Friday, July 20th, until Sunday, July 22nd. This is an initiative where literature occupies a central place, but where there is no lack of recreational and cultural activities aimed at the most diverse audiences.

The initiative, which focuses on children's and youth literature, takes place in the Igreja Nova square and in the Aljezur Municipal Park, from 18 pm to midnight.

On Friday, there are short story sessions “À Sombra da Figueira” and “No Largo”, which will take place, respectively, in the Municipal Park and in the Igreja Nova square. The public will also be able to count on music, provided, at first, by groups “Saidos da Garage” and, at a second, by the Banda Filarmónica dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Aljezur.

On Saturday, July 21st, there are two special activities in the morning, aimed at early childhood. From 10am onwards, there is music and dancing for children aged between 30 and 0 months and the “Bébes ao colo” initiative.

At night, there is theatre, animation cinema and the show “Mr. Raven”, by Arantxa Joseph.

On Sunday, the party is launched with a Treasure Hunt aimed at parents and children, with short story and animated film sessions being also planned.

The Aljezur Book Festival is organized by Tertúlia – Socio-cultural Association and has the support of the Aljezur City Council and Parish Council.
