“Explaining” Mathematics application aims to reach “all students in the country”

“Milagre Aprender+” was developed at the University of Algarve

The University of Algarve (UAlg) and the General Directorate of Education (DGE) signed a protocol to promote and disseminate the “Milage Aprender +” application, developed at the Algarve Academy, with “all students in the country”.

The application was developed by the University of Algarve as part of the Milage project, part of the ERASMUS+ program, funded by the European Union.

This application, which is a portable “explainer” of Mathematics, can be downloaded for free for Android or Apple smartphones and tablets.

Developed for the teaching of mathematics, “Milage Aprender+” «implements an innovative and motivating pedagogical method that stimulates autonomous learning», says UAlg.

With this application, students can solve exercises, from 1st to 12th grade, in the classroom or autonomously, with access to their resolutions, step by step, in educational videos. More recently, they can also solve exercises from other disciplines.

More than 10 students use this application, also available in Spanish, English, Norwegian and Turkish.

With the signing of this collaboration agreement at a technical, pedagogical and logistical level, in order to promote the dissemination and use of the application, with the Groups of Schools and Non-Grouped Schools, it is intended to extend the use of the application «to all students contributing to greater motivation and success in learning mathematics and other subjects», concludes UAlg.
