The Caracol Festival will liven up Jardim da Alameda, in Faro, between the 24th and 27th of May. The snail will be the “king” of the initiative, but there will also be street food, handmade ice cream, crepes, sweets, drinks, plenty, a craft fair, inflatables and musical entertainment.

According to the Union of Parishes of Faro, which organizes the event, the Festa do Caracol has a solidarity aspect since it will support the parish's IPSS. The event also aims to «promote, divulge and enhance traditional products, cuisine and Mediterranean culture, namely gastronomic dishes with the snail».

Admission is free and the event will be open every day, between 17:00 and 24:00.

With regard to musical entertainment, on the first day, the band Nestor e Nuno performs and, at the end of the afternoon, the Rancho Folclórico da ARPI takes to the stage.

On Friday, the singer Cristiano Martins will liven up the party, and at the beginning of the night there will be a performance by the Rancho Folclórico da Conceição.

On Saturday, the group Som D'África and the Rancho Infantil of the Folklore Group of Faro. On Sunday, it will be time to
David Pedro ensure the animation of the Festa do Caracol.
