The Parish Union of Faro will start to "be closer to the citizens" with a traveling delegation, which will visit different locations, from 11 April.

This service will operate every Wednesday, in the afternoon and is designed to serve the population residing in the areas of Rio Seco, Areal Gordo, Torre de Natal and Patacão, Braciais, Arneiro, Mata Lobos and Mar and War.

Thus, from April 11th, the traveling delegation will be present between 14:00 and 17:00, at Rio Seco, at the facilities of the “Associação Recreativa e Cultural do Rio Seco” and on the 18th will be present at the same time at Patacão, in the “Sociedade Agrícola e Cultural do Patacão”, interspersed every week in each of these locations.

This delegation, in addition to providing information on the activities of the Board, receiving suggestions and clarifying doubts, will provide various services such as certificates, registration and licensing of dogs and cats, proof of life, certificates, identity terms, authentication of photocopies and help with filling in of the IRS.

With this service, the Union of Parishes of Faro "now provides another tool for proximity to citizens, thus contributing to the social and territorial cohesion of the parish of Faro».

It should be noted that, in addition to the headquarters, there is a delegation from São Pedro and a delegation from Culatra, which is now joined by the Itinerant Delegation.

To Bruno Lage, president of the União das Freguesias de Faro, this service is «of crucial importance, above all for the fringe of the elderly population, who often experience more difficulties, either because of the distance, or because of the difficulty of mobility, or because of the difficulty of accessing public transport, in getting to the headquarters of the parish to be supported and deal with different matters».
