It is already this Thursday, the 22nd, that a group of tour operators, travel agents and journalists will embark on another edition of the fam trip «Rediscover the Secrets of the Algarve», which will lead them to the (re)discovery of the tourist attractions of Castro Marim.
For a whole day, the group of professionals will have the opportunity to discover some of the tourist beauties of Castro Marim that are not so well known to the general public. The program remains secret for participants, but promises to be a real dive into the history and cultural heritage of the town.
Organized by the Algarve Tourism Region, in partnership with the municipality of Castro Marim and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, fam trip will take participants to discover the gastronomic charms of the village, its traditional arts and crafts and the natural heritage of the municipality. It will also be an opportunity to publicize new hotel investments and the most recent municipal projects.
«This initiative aims to bring professionals in the sector closer to the destination, making them aware of the diversity of the Algarve's tourism offer, which goes far beyond the sun and the beach. For a whole day, we want to promote the rich historical heritage of the village, the local gastronomy and the traditions that make Castro Marim one of the tourist attractions in the region even less known to the Portuguese», explains the president of RTA Desidério Silva.
The project «Rediscovering the Secrets of the Algarve» started in 2013 and has already passed through Alcoutim, São Brás de Alportel, Monchique, Lagos, Lagoa, Aljezur, Tavira, Silves, Faro, Albufeira e Vila do Bispo.
