The Gulbenkian Orchestra takes Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn to the Teatro das Figuras

The Gulbenkian Orchestra will be at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, on Saturday, September 30, to star in a concert that will include pieces by Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn, scheduled for 21 pm.

Conducting the orchestra will be Nuno Coelho, "one of the most promising young national conductors", according to Teatro Municipal de Faro. The chosen program will include «three of the most significant composers in the history of music».

The concert begins with the opening “The Fair Melusine”, by Mendelssohn, followed by “Concert for Clarinet and Orchestra, in A Major, K. 622”, by Mozart, which will be performed by the soloist Iva Barbosa. Finally, the Gulbenkian Orchestra will perform Beethoven's “Symphony nº4, in B flat major, op 60”.

Tickets for the show cost 12 euros, for the 1st audience, and 10 euros, for the 2nd.

Last day, the Gulbenkian Orchestra will be in Lagoa, for a concert in which works by Mozart and Beethoven will be performed.
