Oscar Armando Moscariello, Argentine ambassador to Portugal, met this Monday, March 27, with Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, at the Paços do Concelho building, in a meeting aimed at «exchanging ideas about the business world of the council».

At this meeting, Oscar Moscariello was accompanied by Rafael Patrignani, counselor of the Argentine Embassy in Portugal, Rodolfo Lucero, Consul of the Argentine Embassy in Portugal, and Pedro Latoeiro, press officer of this embassy.

Also present were Vítor Neto, president of NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region, Cláudio Correia, from algardata, and Reinaldo Teixeira, from Garvetur.

This reception is part, according to Loulé, "within the scope of the municipality's internationalization policy and which has been followed since the beginning of the mandate".

The autarchy gives as examples “the visit of diplomatic representatives from various Latin American countries such as Mexico, Cuba or Venezuela, with the aim of establishing relations whether in the economic, social or cultural area”.

This Thursday, March 30, from 10:00 am, Oscar Moscariello will be at NERA, in the Industrial Zone of Loulé, to participate in a work session called “Portuguese/Argentina Investment Opportunities” aimed at boosting business opportunities and knowledge of the economic reality of both Argentina and the Algarve.

The session will be an opportunity for the business fabric of the Algarve to get to know the investment potential in Argentina. The vice-president of the Chamber of Loulé, Hugo Nunes will be present at the opening session, at 10:15 am.

Ambassador Oscar Moscariello was the first diplomat to present credentials to the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in April 2016.

Born in the Province of Santa Fé, in the central interior of Argentina, it was in Buenos Aires that the Argentine ambassador began and developed a long political career. Degree in Political Science by University of Salvador, he served in the Argentine Congress before being elected deputy in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
