The Algarve has 14 nominees, in various categories, for the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2017. The winners will be announced on the first day of the Lisbon Tourism Exchange, 15 March, at 11:00 am, at the KeyforTravel auditorium, at FIL, in Lisbon.

In the Best Congress Space category, the Salgados Palace and Congress Center, which won the award last year, is the only nominee in the region.

In the category of Best Marina, the Algarve has four nominations: Marina de Albufeira, Marina de Lagos, Marina de Portimão and Marina de Vilamoura will compete for the award together with Marina de Cascais, Marina da Horta and Tróia Marina.

Zoomarine, which won, in 2016, the award for Best Park/Touristic Entertainment Company, was nominated again for the same category this year, and Aquashow is also in the shortlist to win the prize.

In terms of hotels, Villa Joya is nominated for the category of Best Exclusive Hotel and Conrad Algarve and Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa are among the best Luxury Hotels.

In the category of Best Accommodation in Rural Areas, the municipality of Tavira has the only nominees in the region: Pensão Agrícola Tavira and Fazenda Nova Country House.

There are also two Algarve representatives in the Best Municipality category: Lagos and Loulé.

Public voting for these awards ends today, with the winners resulting from a weighted average between the votes of newsletter subscribers (40%) and the votes of the Jury (60%).

These awards are an initiative of the Jornal Publituris which aims to distinguish excellence in various sectors of tourism.
