Trombones, flying trapeze and trampolines made the new circus party in Monchique

The trombones and the bass drums, the flying trapeze, the trampolines and the somersaults, the singers, the musicians, the tightrope walkers, the giant wheels made the celebration of the new circus in Monchique, in the last three nights of the old year of 2016.

The show “Maintenant ou Jamais” was a success: sold out in 3 sessions and with 100 people on the waiting list for each day, with the participation of about 1400 spectators. Many of them were Portuguese and foreign visitors from the Algarve, who came here to spend the year. But there were also many Monchiquenses and other Algarveans, who joined in force.

It was, once again, an activity of the project «Lavrar o Mar», inserted in the 365 Algarve program, which thus closed the year with a real golden key.

In addition to the fantastic artists of the French company «Cheptel Aleikoum, Circa Tsuica», the show also had the participation of the public, often called to the arena to actively intervene. And no one was asked, even when the tasks were difficult or… embarrassing.

Before and after, there were crepes, wine (white or red?) and other nice things to warm your stomach on cold December nights.

Here is the photographic record of the second night, December 3rd:
